5 Young Chadians to Participate in the YALI Mandela Washington Fellowship Program.

The U.S. Embassy N’Djamena is pleased to announce that five (5) young Chadians leaders just arrived in the United States to participate in the Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF) Program. Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the MWF is the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative  (YALI), a signature effort by the U.S. government to invest in young African leaders. This year, 700 young African leaders will participate in the MWF, a six-week academic and professional exchange in the United States.

Applauding fellows on their achievement during a pre-departure orientation, the Chargé d’Affaires Ellen Thorburn encouraged the group to make the most out of the program to contribute to Chad’s development.

Chad’s 2022 MWF cohort consists of participants’ professional backgrounds include Public Health, Social Entrepreneurship, Civil Aviation, Information Technology. The U.S Embassy wish them well!

From 2014 to 2022, 44 Chadians leader has been send to the United States for the Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF) Program.
