Ammunition Storage Container handover to Special Anti-Terrorism Group (SATG)

On May 17th, U.S. Embassy N’Djamena Security Cooperation Chief LTC Chuck Lewis passed the keys for a new ammunition storage container to Chadian Special Anti-Terrorism Group (SATG) Commander Brigadier General Abdou Idriss at their headquarters in Amsinéné.  Jonathan Rickell (pictured shaking hands with General Abdou) and Danra Baimale represented the Mines Advisory Group (MAG).   The U.S. State Department’s Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement funded the new container, while MAG executed the actual delivery and emplacement of the storage unit.  This armory, to be used for the storage of small-caliber ammunition, will greatly improve the safety of the Special Forces base and surrounding area.
