After her message of Eid al-Fitr, Chargé d’Affaires, Jessica Davis Ba had a phone call with President of the High Council for Islamic Affairs in Chad, Sheikh Dr. Mahamat Issa Khatir to reinforce the U.S. Embassy’s support for Chad’s Muslim community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Chargée d’Affaires, Davis Ba expressed her sympathy for Chadians impacted by COVID-19 and hopes for a quick recovery. She also confirmed the continued cooperation of the Embassy with the High Council for Islamic Affairs, especially during this difficult time to promote social distancing and health education to the general public and expand the educational and exchange opportunities to facilitate greater dialogue with faith communities in the United States.
