The Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. David Gilmour met with Monseigneur Edmond Djitengar, Archbishop of the Catholic Church. Later that day, Chargé Gilmore also met with Pastor Benjamin Inbo Kou, Lutheran Fraternal Church in Chad who represented the Secretary General of Churches and Evangelical Missions in Chad to discuss the important role that religious leaders serve in, especially during difficult times such as epidemics and natural disasters. Chargé Gilmour thanked both the Archbishop and Paster Kou for their leadership in promoting civic values and human dignity and for their important role as peacebuilders in Chad and the region. He also shared the American citizens hopes for a peaceful holiday season for all Chadians, of all faiths.
