Country-Specific Information:
- Chad has 866 confirmed cases, 788 healed and 75 deaths of COVID-19 within its borders as of July 12. 2020.
- Hassan Djamous International Airport remains closed to international passenger traffic until further notice.
- As of May 7, the Government of Chad has made wearing masks compulsory.
- The Government of Chad extended a mandatory curfew between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. for two weeks beginning July 6, 2020. The curfew applies to N’Djamena and the regions of Logone Occidental, Logone Oriental, Mayo Kebbi Ouest, Mayo Kebbi Est, Guera and Kanem.
Entry and Exit Requirements:
- As of March 18, 2020, all international passenger flights are suspended.
- Travelers should be prepared for travel restrictions to be put into effect with little or no advance notice.
- Upon entry to Chad, travelers are checked for fever and, if symptomatic, may be transmitted to a hospital for further evaluation. Travelers without symptoms are required to quarantine for 14 days after arrival
- The Government of Chad announced that the N’Djamena airport will reopen effective August 1, 2020
