On February 5, the Embassy sponsored a well-attended showing of the film ‘Hidden Figures’ to more than 40 young Muslim women who were attending STEM studies at the Lycée Sheikh Hamid ben Rachid secondary school in N’Djamena.  Chargé Jessica Davis Ba explained to the students the significant challenges faced by Black American women in America during the 1960s era portrayed in the film.  The enthusiastic young students seemed to greatly appreciate the depiction of Black women attaining great success in the fields of science and technology.
