General David M. Rodriguez, Commander of United States Africa Command, Visits Chad

During his visit to Chad from November 20-21, 2013, General David M. Rodriguez, Commander of United States Africa Command, met with President Deby Itno and Chadian senior military leaders regarding future joint cooperation efforts, and to witness first-hand the joint commitment and partnership that has developed between the two militaries as they move forward together towards a stable and secure Africa.

U.S. soldiers help support the Chadian military in their participation in the UN stabilization mission in Mali with training required to deploy as part of the mission. USAFRICOM has an excellent relationship with the government and the military of Chad and looks forward to further cooperation in the future.
