The U.S. Embassy uses Clickatell (www.clickatell.com) to send urgent text messages in the event of an emergency when internet capabilities are disrupted and/or sending email/MASCOT does not work. We invite you to register your cellphone number with us to receive messages via Clickatell.
Because some cellphone companies charge a fee for text messages, those who are interested in subscribing to our Clickatell service must opt in.
If you are not subscribed to the embassy Clickatell service and would like to do so, please send an email to NdjamenaACS@state.gov and request to opt in. Please include your name and cellphone number.
You can read more about Clickatell and its privacy policy by going to its website https://www.clickatell.com/legal/communicator-developer-central/privacy-policy/.
