Message for U.S. Citizens: Town Hall Meeting

The Consular Section is pleased to announce that it will host its third Town Hall of 2016 for all U.S. citizens in Chad at U.S. Embassy N’Djamena on Thursday, October 19, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Ambassador Geeta Pasi will deliver keynote remarks followed by brief remarks from officers from our Political and Economic Section, the Legal Attaché, and the Regional Security Office.  Light refreshments will follow the presentations.  Families are invited to attend, including the parents of minor U.S. citizen children.

We ask that all attendees please RSVP to NdjamenaACS@state.govby October 18.  Please include the number of attendees, your full name, and the U.S. citizens’ passport number – this will assist with security screening the day of the event.

For emergency services, U.S. Citizens should call our 24/7 phone line +235 66 62 21 00 or +235 22 51 70 09.  You can also email us directly with any questions regarding U.S. citizen services at NdjamenaACS@state.gov.

The U.S. Embassy advises U.S. citizens to review and follow the guidance in the Travel Warning for Chad, and remain alert for potentially dangerous situations. U.S. citizens are reminded to exercise caution throughout Chad, and maintain vigilance in daily affairs, even when visiting familiar locations.  U.S. Embassy personnel maintain an 11:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. curfew until further notice.
