The United States Embassy in N’Djamena donated 60 locally made hospital beds as part of COVID-19 relief efforts, bringing the total amount of COVID aid to 11 million dollars (6 billion CFA). The hospital beds donated by the United States were fabricated in Chad by Kayga Entreprise. This donation accompanies a multitude of other humanitarian aid that has been provided by the American People: generators to help establish the Farcha Hospital, over 50 tons of food aid for the country’s most vulnerable, educational materials on how to help stop the spread of the virus, and the transfer of ambulances to aid in the care of patients. This donation has been coordinated by the Office of Security Cooperation and facilitated by United States Africa Command.
