Ambassador Knight attended an October 22 awards ceremony recognizing best practices of local governments to promote transparency and civic engagement.  The event, held at the Cinema Normandie theater in N’Djaména, was organized by the USAID Peace through Development (PDev II) project that builds individual and community resilience to violent extremism.  Following a theatrical sketch which generated audience participation on the subject of corruption, awards were presented to the mayors of the 7th and 10th Districts of N’Djaména, the town of Faya Largeau and the town of Mao.
