To address growing food insecurity that affects tens of millions of people across West Africa, the United States, which is already the largest donor of humanitarian aid to Chad, announced that it will provide more than $311 million in additional humanitarian assistance through the USAID to support vulnerable people in the Sahel and Lake Chad Basin regions. The announced assistance includes $40.5 million for Chad.
