Summary: The U.S. Mission in N’Djamena, Chad is seeking one eligible and qualified applicant for the position of Chauffeur (MSG) in the Marines Security Guard Section.

The work schedule for this position is:

  • Full Time (54 hours per week)

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (2 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Supervisory Position:  No

Duties:  The incumbent performs driving services for the U.S. Mission in N’Djamena, Chad.

Qualifications and Evaluations

EDUCATION:      Completion of secondary school is required.


EXPERIENCE:  A minimum of one year previous driving experience is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: The incumbent must have knowledge of traffic regulations, and must know different areas of offices in the city. S/he must know how to drive a four-wheel drive, and know safety regulations.

LANGUAGE:  Level II (Limited Knowledge) English and level III (Good Working Knowledge) French are required (languages will be tested).

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  The incumbent must be able to drive, and have basic accounting skills.

Qualifications:  All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
