Summary: The U.S. Mission in N’Djamena, Chad is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Dispatcher in Facility Maintenance Section.
The work schedule for this position is:
- Full Time (54 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (2 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Supervisory Position: Yes
Duties: Incumbent acts as the Dispatcher to the Motor pool of GSO at U.S. Mission in N’Djamena, Chad. S/he is supervised by the motor pool supervisor.
Qualifications and Evaluations
EDUCATION: Completion of Secondary School is required.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years previous driving and administrative work experience are required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: The incumbent must have a good knowledge of automotive vehicle operation, safety, and a general knowledge of automotive maintenance. S/he must have a local valid driver’s license. S/he must have planning skills and a good knowledge of Chadian roads.
LANGUAGE: Level II (Rudimentary knowledge-written, understanding, reading and spoken) English and level IV (Limited knowledge-written, understanding, reading and spoken) French are required (this may be tested).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: S/he must have ability to organize trip and work schedules. S/he must be able to negotiate effectively conflicting desires or request chauffeurs to change in trip or work schedules.
Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
