Twenty 20 Chadian English teaching professionals from the national teaching colleges, English language centers and secondary schools in N’Djamena, attended an English teaching webinar at the American Embassy on Wednesday, October 8, 2014.  After following the live transmission, the participants took time to discuss climate change and how to adapt the notions learned during the webinar for English classes. One of the most pressing issues in today’s world is global warming.  Is it really happening?  How fast is it happening?  And what can be done to mitigate its impact?  These are some of the questions that the participants discussed.  The webinar provided thought-provoking activities and materials (audio, songs, worksheets, handouts, vocabulary lists and videos) that teachers can easily use in their English classes.
