Three instructors from the U.S. Army West Point Military Academy joined 20 instructors from the Chadian Joint Military Schools (GEMIA) for training on faculty, leadership, and physical fitness development.  The March 19-22 training was designed to enhance GEMIA’s overall instructional capacity, and is part of the Africa Military Education Program (AMEP).  Future AMEP visits will focus on train-the-trainer classes that will help develop training plans that complement Chad’s curriculum.  Lt. Col. Abdelkerim Deby (in white), a 2014 graduate of West Point, attended the graduation ceremony.
